I Am Not Alone

I am not alone...

I can never be alone. God is with me; I am with me. As long as I do not abandon myself, I cannot truly be alone.

I can choose to enjoy my own company. I can choose to amuse myself. I can choose to talk to myself in a loving and affirming way. I can make up my mind to do the things that give me life.

When I am feeling most alone it is because I have forsaken myself. I have started looking to others to fill a hole inside of my heart that only the I AM can fill.

I am not alone...

The next time you feel an overwhelming sense of loneliness take a moment to sit still, become quiet, and tune into the wise voice inside of your heart that bears witness to the truth.

I am not alone... 

Then begin to speak "the I AM" over yourself. Pick yourself up and go and do something that makes you smile. Take a walk. Write in a journal. Watch a favorite television program. Knit a sweater. Do something--anything--that reminds you that you are your own best friend.

I am not alone... 

Anything else is a lie.
